About the Role

We are seeking experienced, U.S.-licensed lawyers to evaluate legal scenarios and assess the accuracy, completeness, and quality of AI-generated legal work. You will apply professional legal judgment to complex legal questions, review legal analyses and documents, identify errors, and provide structured feedback to improve AI systems' legal reasoning and reliability.

The opportunity is open to attorneys across a broad range of practice areas, including litigation, corporate law, employment, intellectual property, tax, real estate, and regulatory compliance.

This role is suited to legal professionals with strong issue-spotting, analytical reasoning, document review, and legal writing skills. Previous AI evaluation experience is an advantage but is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze legal scenarios involving litigation, corporate transactions, regulatory matters, and compliance issues.

  • Identify relevant legal principles, key issues, potential risks, and material factual gaps.

  • Review AI-generated legal analyses, arguments, contracts, and other legal documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Identify legal errors, unsupported conclusions, missing information, and weaknesses in legal reasoning.

  • Apply professional judgment to ambiguous or complex legal questions, considering relevant laws, facts, and competing interpretations.

  • Provide clear, structured corrections and feedback to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated legal outputs.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a U.S. law school.

  • Active bar license in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.

  • More than 3 years of substantive legal practice after obtaining a J.D.

  • Strong legal reasoning, issue-spotting, legal writing, and document review skills.

  • Excellent written English communication and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote contract environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience in one or more legal practice areas, including:

    • Litigation and dispute resolution

    • Corporate and commercial law

    • Employment and labor law

    • Personal injury, criminal, or family law

    • Immigration and insurance law

    • Intellectual property and healthcare law

    • Securities, real estate, and tax law

    • Privacy, environmental, and regulatory law

  • Experience reviewing complex legal documents, identifying substantive errors, or evaluating competing legal arguments.

  • Familiarity with legal technology, AI-assisted legal research, or AI evaluation.

Key Skills

Legal reasoning, legal issue-spotting, legal research, legal writing, document review, statutory interpretation, legal analysis, risk identification, argument evaluation, regulatory compliance, attention to detail, written communication, independent work, legal technology, and AI output evaluation.

Compensation

The hourly rate is $100–$170, equivalent to approximately $192,000–$326,400 per year at 1,920 working hours annually. This annualized figure is for comparison only; actual earnings depend on contracted hours and workload.

What to Expect

You will assess complex legal scenarios, review AI-generated legal work, identify substantive and analytical weaknesses, and provide structured expert feedback. The role emphasizes sound legal judgment, precision, clear written reasoning, and the ability to evaluate competing interpretations of legal issues.

Eligible applicant locations: United States.
