  • Evaluate tax-related interpretations and proposed approaches against relevant legal principles.

  • Document findings accurately, explaining substantive issues and the reasoning behind recommended corrections.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a U.S. law school.

  • Active bar license in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.

  • More than 3 years of substantive post-J.D. legal practice.

  • Strong legal reasoning, issue-spotting, and document review skills.

  • Excellent written English communication and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote contract environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in federal or state taxation.

  • Background in tax compliance, tax planning, or complex tax transactions.

  • Experience handling IRS matters, tax disputes, or tax-related legal research.
